Electronic signing: Swisscom Sign for businesses
Swisscom Sign is Swisscom’s electronic signature solution, enabling companies to sign their contracts and documents quickly, securely and legally. freeing up time for them to focus on their core business.
By using Swisscom Sign, companies can sign and send documents digitally, without the inconvenience of traditional postal exchanges. which saves valuable time for everyone involved. Electronically signed documents can be archived digitally and remain legally compliant. The need to scan documents or maintain physical archiving systems is completely eliminated. A one-off registration and identity verification is all it takes before all manner of contracts and documents can be signed easily and securely, 24/7 and from anywhere. As a result, concluding a contract becomes the work of minutes rather than days.
Swisscom Sign is based on the qualified electronic signature (QES), which, under Swiss law, is the only electronic signature considered equivalent to a handwritten signature. Consequently, documents that require validation with a handwritten signature can now be signed electronically – quickly and easily, any time and anywhere – using the My Swisscom app. This applies to employment contracts, commercial register documents and even bank paperwork. Swisscom Sign is fully compliant with the strict regulatory requirements of ZertES (Switzerland) and eIDAS (EU), which means that Swisscom is certified to issue signatures in accordance with the legal requirements of the EU or Switzerland.
Another key element of Swisscom Sign is the high level of data protection and data security it offers. Data is stored securely within Switzerland, and irrevocably deleted after 30 days.
Swisscom Sign was launched for residential customers throughout Switzerland last autumn. The electronic signature solution is available to private individuals free of charge, provided it is not used for commercial purposes. For enterprise customers and software solution providers, Swisscom Sign is already available as an API and can be integrated directly into existing system landscapes as required.
